Ian Mine from around 1980 to 1982. I replaced swinging arms, fuel pump and exhaust but moved it on for 120GBP as the compression was low across all cylinders. I purchased the bug in 1976 upgraded from a motorbike. I had to replace the chassis as it was badly rusted, my girlfriend Joan, now wife, helped me customise the interior. Photo thanks to Peter

We got it back on the road and really enjoyed the novelty and character of the Bug, took a couple of holidays in wales where pics were taken and one outside my house. Photo thanks to Peter
